Goshen, IN - William "Bill" J. Conley, 81, died Saturday, April 12, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1943 in Puxico, Missouri to Martin and Grace (Kesterson) Conley.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Darlene (Elswick) Conley, who he married, Oct.15, 1966 in Goshen, along with their three children, Vanessa (Randy) Beachy, Middlebury, Michelle (Jeremy) Bachman, Bristol and Braxton (Claire) Conley, Mishawaka; six grandchildren, Braxton Conley, Alicia Kurtz, Cyle Jaskolka, Austin Beachy, Ashlynn Beachy and Karlie Bachman; and seven great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by five siblings, M.L. "Luke" Conley, Oklahoma, LeRoy (Alice) Conley, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Nina Miller, Florida, Jaunita Downing, Goshen and Sharron (Larry) Booth, Virginia.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charley Conley.
A U.S. Army veteran, Bill was a "jack of all trades", able to fix just about anything.
He owned and operated Conley's Body Shop; and was a bus driver and mechanic for Goshen Community Schools.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A 12 p.m. funeral will be conducted Friday, April 18, also at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
Pastor Jack Rorie of The Sanctuary Church, where Bill attended will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial gifts may be directed to The Fellowship (International Fellowship of Christians and Jews) to combat hunger in Israel.
