Wanda Clem, age 70 of Wakarusa, went home to be with Jesus at 9:32 p.m.on Friday evening, Nov. 1, at her residence after an 8 year battle with cancer.

Wanda was born on Aug. 13, 1954 in Elkhart, to Dale and Arlene (Schmucker) Schwalm.

She was a 1972 graduate of NorthWood High School; and she lived her entire life in the Wakarusa area.

On April 20, 1974, Wanda married Kenneth Clem at the New Paris Church of the Brethren.

Wanda and Ken are members of the Nappanee Missionary Church; and Wanda specifically enjoyed her Bible Study Fellowship and Oasis.

Wanda loved her work for 30+ years as a babysitter.

Over the years she enjoyed baking and gardening.

Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed supporting them in all of their activities.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Ken Clem of Wakarusa; 3 children, Tonya (Mike) Carl of Warsaw, Stephanie (Roy) Hufford of Flora, and Sean (Jessica) Clem of Wakarusa; 11 grandchildren, Audrey (Isaiah) Stouder, Regan Carl, Chase Carl, Logan Carl, Julian Hufford, Ethan Clem, Liam Clem, Moana Clem, Mahayla Clem, Lucas Clem, and Eliana Clem; and 1 great-grandson, Jaylen Stouder.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Schwalm;and sister-in-law, Connie Schwalm.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, and from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel (Enter Door H), Nappanee.

A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jason Rohde officiating.

Burial will follow in Olive West Cemetery, Elkhart.

Memorial contributions in Wanda's name can be given to Nappanee Missionary Church.
