Goshen, Indiana - Vernon Blucker, 81, died on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in New Paris, to Ervin and Clara (Miller) Blucker.
Surviving Vernon are children, Deanna Yoder, Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Dana (Heather) Blucker, Millersburg; grandchildren, Chase and Kaitlyn Blucker; stepdaughter Renee Chesterfield, Elkhart; step-granddaughters, Ali Lopez and Angie Rouch; and siblings, Diann Grise, Goshen, and Dan (Carol) Blucker, Elkhart.
Vernon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goshen and was a long-time truck driver.
He was a 1962 graduate of New Paris High School.
Vernon enjoyed collecting classic cars and playing cards, especially Euchre.
Visitation will take place on Friday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Rev. Brant VanHooser will officiate.
Burial will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
