Verna  Bontrager
Verna Bontrager, 92, died Thursday, Aug. 15, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born April 14, 1927, in Nappanee, to Samuel C. and Amanda (Borkholder) Chupp.
On Feb. 3, 1949, she married Gideon J. Bontrager; he died Sept. 23, 2008.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Bert) Stutzman, Goshen; two sons, Gene A. (Cinde) Bontrager, Goshen and James W. (Kris) Bontrager, Bourbon; daughter-in-law, Norma Bontrager, Goshen; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Anna Byler, Barbara Burkholder and Alma Stutzman, all of Nappanee, and Elizabeth (Ralph) Miller, Goshen.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul L. and Larry G. Bontrager; seven brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Bontrager enjoyed baking and quilting. For many years, she volunteered at The Depot. She was a member of Mount Joy Conservative Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Tuesday funeral service at Mt. Joy Conservative Mennonite Church, Goshen.
Burial will follow at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Adriel School, 414 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, OH 43357.

So many memories when we use to all go to Little Eden and sometimes camping. You have my sympathy!
