Trudy A. Cox Obituary

Trudy A. Cox, 81, of Millersburg, IN died at her home on March 19, 2025. Mrs. Cox was born on February 12, 1944, in Carmel, IN to William and Joan C. (Clevenger) Elkins. Trudy worked for many years in sales and shipping and receiving for Stout Co. in Bristol, IN. She loved crafts and scrapbooking, baking cookies and sharing them with her loved ones. Her happiest times were spent with her grandkids. She was raised in the Quaker faith but later converted to Catholicism. On January 26, 1981, in Melbourne, AR, she married Elmer A. Cox; he preceded her in death on June 12, 1999. Surviving are her children, Donald (Kay) Burris of Goshen, IN, Shari A. Burris of Goshen, IN, David Fields of Florida, and Melissa Myers of Millersburg, IN; five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death along with her husband; her parents; a grandson; and a brother, Harry L. Elkins. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4-7 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Willie Riehl officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN. Memorials may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kidney Foundation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.fruripmayfuneralhome.com.
