Tonya Nicole Yoder Obituary

Tonya Nicole Yoder, 29, Shipshewana, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, in a car accident.

She was born Sept. 18, 1990, in Elkhart, to Perry Jay Yoder and Robin (Stephens) Yoder.

She was a graduate of Westview High School and continued to pursue her certified nursing assistant license. She worked at Life Care Center of LaGrange for three years and had most recently been employed as an RHM at Alternative Lifestyles in LaGrange.

She loved Facebook, Mountain Dew and was such an outgoing and uplifting person with a big heart. She was a great cook and an awesome mom to her two sons.

She is survived by her parents, Perry and Vickie Yoder of Shipshewana and Robin Stephens Yoder of Angola; two sons, Bryce M. Hostettler and Joel A.R. Yoder, at home; two brothers, Ryan and Julie Yoder of Middlebury and PJ and Morgan Yoder of Auburn; three sisters, Rachel Caldwell of Shipshewana, Karla Yoder and Brennan Cochran of Fort Wayne and Kyleigh N. Yoder of Shipshewana; paternal grandparents, John and Katie Yoder of LaGrange; maternal grandmother, Mary Stephens of Goshen; fiancé, Seth Carter; two nieces; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandpa, Charles Stephens; two uncles, Roger Stephens and Ronald Stephens; and best friend, Brandon Hurley.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Eden Worship Center, 4095 S. 900 West, Topeka.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at the church.

Burial will be held at a later date.

A trust fund is in the process of being set up.
