Topeka, IN - Susie L. Bontrager, 90, of Topeka, (district: 22-1), died at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1935, in LaGrange County, to Levi A. and Lydia Ann (Miller) Miller.

On April 12, 1956, in Topeka, she married Daniel N. Bontrager. He died on Oct. 16, 2017.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Dorothy) Bontrager of Topeka, Leroy Bontrager of Wolcottville; a daughter, Irene Bontrager of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Marla (Larry) Miller, Beth Ann Bontrager, Kaylene (Nelson) Hochstetler, Lavern (Lou Anna) Bontrager, Lavon Bontrager; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Bontrager of Millersburg; two brothers-in-law, Ray Hershberger and Lloyd Yoder, both of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Lydiann Bontrager; two brothers, Perry and Ora Miller; three sisters, Nettie Schrock, Sarah Miller and Lizzie Hershberger.

Susie was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, at the Wayne Bontrager residence, 2290 W. 700 S., Topeka. Services were conducted by Bishop Daniel Lambright and the home ministers.

Burial was in Clearspring Cemetery, Topeka.

Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.
