Shirley Gale Linder Obituary

Shirley Gale Linder, 94, Goshen, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.

She was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Elkhart, to the late David and Edna (Woodman) Harms.

On June 19, 1942, in Elkhart, she married Rev. Lloyd Linder, who passed away March 6, 1985, in Tucson, Arizona.

She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Ward Harms, Jane Mishkin and Joanne Stephens.

Surviving are two children, Thomas (Vickie) Linder, Monument, Colorado, and Marcia (Ronald) Gall, North Port, Florida; and three grandchildren, Rhonda (Bruce) Chapman, Rick (Ami) Balding and Dain (Jenifer) Linder. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and a sister, Doris (Lee) Hoyt.

Shirley was formerly employed a G.L. Perry Variety Stores as a clerk for many years. She was a proud wife of a minister, member of Northside Church of the Nazarene and the Harmonica Band, which performed throughout the state. Shirley also volunteered at Greencroft and Elkhart General Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, traveling, bowling and golfing.

Cremation will take place with services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to Northside Church of the Nazarene.
