Shielda Diane Collins, 86, passed away Mar. 5, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Elkhart County to K. Harold Miller and Ruby M. (Schrock) Toth.

Surviving are children, Mary (Martin) Swinehart, Valparaiso, David (Lida) Hire, Elkhart, and Douglas Hire, Wakarusa; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Kenneth H. (JoAnn) Miller, Stellacoom, WA; and stepbrothers, Dr. Kenneth (Carolyn) Toth, Sun City, CA, and Richard Toth, Bad Axe, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Marcia Breniser.

Shielda was a 1957 graduate of Goshen High School and received her bachelor's degree from Goshen College.

She worked as a Loan Coordinator for Salem Bank for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading in her free time.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, followed by burial at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Association.
