Bremen, Indiana - Sharon L. George, age 83 of Bremen, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 26, at her residence after a battle with cancer.

The family feels blessed for the 14 months Sharon was with them after her initial diagnosis.

Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sharon was born on March 25, 1942 in Bourbon, Indiana to Carl and Jesse (Watkins) Danner.

She was a 1960 Lakeville High School Graduate.

On Sept. 9, 1961, Sharon married Jimmie George at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren in North Liberty. Jimmie preceded Sharon in death on April 5, 2019.

Sharon was born in Bourbon and moved to the family farm in Bremen when she was 10.

After living in Nappanee for a short time, Sharon and Jimmie returned to that family farm in the late 1970's and raised their family in the house Sharon grew up in.

Throughout her life, Sharon enjoyed working at several jobs; but interior design was always her favorite.

Sharon's pride and joy was her family; and she cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her two sons, Rick A. (Lynette) George and Rob D. (Leanne) George, both of Bremen; 4 grandchildren, Jessica A. (Seth Anglemeyer) George of Bremen, Joshua A. (Alice Cox) George of Lakeville, Indiana, Conner D. (Mandy) George of Wakarusa, and Cole D. George of Westfield, Indiana; 4 great-grandchildren, Jansen, Jettsen, Ezra, and Charlie AnneMarie; and a sister, Patty Martin of Lakeville.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie; and 2 siblings, Thelma Klotz and Don Danner.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.

A Celebration of Life Service with the sharing of memories will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Sharon's name can be given to Community Gospel Church in Bremen and Center for Hospice Care in Plymouth.
