Shipshewana, IN - Robert V. Gadson, 91, of Shipshewana, passed away at 10:26 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at The Waters of LaGrange.
He was born on April 27, 1934, in LaGrange County, to Thomas and Evelyn (Mooney) Gadson.
On Dec. 6, 1958, in LaGrange County, he married Carol S. Hooley. She survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Carla Bass of Shipshewana, Connie Gadson of Topeka; three sons, Alan Gadson of Goshen, Kevin (Trina) Gadson of Kendallville, Roger (Carla) Gadson of Sturgis, MI; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Gadson of Phoenix, AZ, Richard (Cathy) Gadson of Bremen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Jane Huenerkopf, Shirley Jean Gadson, Esther Grams, Beatrice Gadson; two brothers, Donald Gadson, Ray Gadson.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was well known for being a mechanic specialist at Gadson's sales and service and was also an insurance salesman.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
