Goshen, IN - Rita Ann Menges, 70, died Friday, November 7, 2025 at Waterford Crossing Health Campus.

She was born November 27, 1954 in Goshen to David and Joan (Culp) Mayberry.

On October 31, 2022 she married David T. Menges in Roswell, New Mexico.

Surviving are children, Frederick (Jennifer) Welker, David J. (Alison) Welker, Lisa Menges, William J. (Tabitha) Menges and David C. (Sarah Medlin) Menges; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hollowell.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of Frederick and David, Freddie J. Welker, and a sister, Susan Mayberry.

Rita completed her Registered Nurse degree at Goshen College. She later worked as a field representative for the Census Bureau.

She enjoyed music and attending concerts at Sauder Music Hall on the campus of Goshen College. She also served as a Scout Leader.

Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 10 a.m. memorial service will take place Saturday, November 15, 2025. Pastor Mark Snyder, Pleasant View Church will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Goshen College Scholarship Fund or the Jefferson Township Fire Department.
