Goshen, IN - Phillip A. Hicks, 71, died on Sunday, Sept. 28, at his home.

He was born on Oct.31, 1953 in New Castle.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Peed) Hicks, Goshen; three children, Micah (Emily) Hicks, Middlebury, Sonya (Shane) Imus, Elkhart and Shyla Hedman, Goshen; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two brothers, Steven (Kay) Hicks, Elkhart; and Gene Hicks, Surgoinsville, Tennessee.

Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Arthur P. Hicks; son, Derek Hicks; daughter, Shonda R. Null; and sister in law, Gail Hicks.

Mr. Hicks was a constant employee in the local RV Industry.

He had a passion for music and cars, second of course to spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday, Oct. 3 from 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Joel DeSelm will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
