Goshen, IN - Oleta M. Bontrager, (86), of Goshen, joined her Lord and Savior at 8:28 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Waterford Crossing Assisted Living.

She was born on Aug. 23, in 1939 to Samuel and Ada (Miller) Chupp.

On Dec. 25, 1957, in Goshen, she married Charles Wayne Bontrager. Charles died on May 21, 2015.

Surviving are their children, Terry L. (Roberta) Bontrager of Lankaran, Azerbaijan, Roger A. (Renee) Bontrager of Pensacola, Florida, Cheryl A. (Thomas) Fickus of Cedar Falls, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Amber (Mark) Casey of Williamsburg, Virginia; Jamin Bontrager of Chanhassen, Minnesota; Kevin (Amanda) Bontrager of Burnsville, Minnesota; Phoenix (Emma) Curtis of Chicago, Illinois; Trace and Matthew Bontrager of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Joshua Fickus of Cedar Falls, Iowa; twelve great-grandchildren, Tristan, Dylan, William, Vivian, Eleanor, Nathan, Benedict, Marian and Lucille Casey of Williamsburg, Virginia; Jedidiah, Levi and Aiden Bontrager of Burnsville, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Clarence Chupp, Edna Miller, and Richard Chupp.

Oleta was a generous, courageous and determined woman of faith who was an active member of Harvest Community Church, where she served on the prayer team.

She served as a teacher's aid at Middlebury Elementary School and Zion Christian School as a teacher and principal.

She also served as a missionary to Kenya for 3 years.

She enjoyed sitting on her porch in the sunshine and interacting with the people in her neighborhood, beloved by all.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, at Harvest Community Church, 17285 County Rd 34, Goshen.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastors Jeremy Gwaltney and Steve Chupp.

Burial will be in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may be given to Harvest Community Church or Downtown Ministries.
