Nona Kile Mitchell

Nona Kile Mitchell, 74, Goshen went to be with the Lord Friday, May 24, having lost her battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Goshen, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Martha Roll Kile. She graduated from Goshen High School in 1963. Nona lived most of her life in Goshen with the exception of 15 years in Phoenix, Arizona.
Nona is survived by her son, Jamie Vannoster, and wife, Leanne, Bristol; daughter, Peggy Fellows, Lawrenceville, Georgia; twin sister, Nancy Mullins, Abingdon, Virginia; brother, J. Robert Kile, Hamburg, Germany; and several grandchildren.
Nona had several jobs during her lifetime, including Coachman in Middlebury. Her favorite job was in the transportation office at Coachman, where she interacted with the transport drivers and their wives. She thought of them as family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the employees of Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse for their exceptional care during Nona's stay. Also a thank-you to Goshen a General Hospital Hospice Department for their care and concern.
Also, Nona's sister Nancy would like to extend a personal thank-you to Janet Myers and Robin Dahl for their care and kindness to Nona during the past year of her cancer treatment and nursing home stay. She can't thank you enough.
At Nona's request, she will be cremated. There is no service scheduled at this time.
