Noble Searer Jr, 91, Sebring, FL, formerly of Goshen and Wakarusa, passed into Heaven surrounded by his family on Nov. 5.
He was born on June 27, 1933 in South Bend, IN to Noble L. and Una M.(Bowers) Searer.
Noble met Martha Schorr while serving in the US Army, stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
They were wed in Wiesbaden, Germany on Dec. 3, 1954.
They raised their family in the Wakarusa and Goshen area, with Noble working in the RV industry, farming, and retiring from the Elk. Co. Highway Dept.
Noble never knew a stranger, and made many friends along the way.
Noble loved restoring antique and classic automobiles and belonged to several auto clubs.
He and Martha enjoyed participating in parades and other activities with their cars.
After 64 years of marriage, Martha passed away in 2018.
On April 23, 2021, Noble married Grace Moser; and they spent the next several years enjoying their time together in Sebring.
She survives, along with his daughters, Eveline "Evi"(Kim) Hershberger, Goshen, Michele "Shelly"(Perry) Edblom, Dorchester, WI; his son, Frank (Beth) Searer, Mosinee, WI; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and one to be born in Feb. 2025. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Robert and Norman Searer; stepdaughters, Dolores (Roger) Lechlitner, and Cathy (Kim) Whitehead, Wakarusa; stepson, Edwin (Gloria) Moser, Nappanee; 8 step-grandchildren; and 20 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Noble in death were his first wife, Martha; a grandson, Grant Searer; a great-grandson, Andrew Searer; and four siblings, Audrey Berger, Keith, Richard, and Max Searer.
A Celebration of Noble's Life will be held on Saturday, March 29, at Beulah Missionary Church in Goshen at 4 p.m., with a visitation preceding from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice House, 1110 Hammock Rd. Sebring, FL 33870.
