Goshen, IN - Nelda A. Snider, 91, passed away peacefully at 10:58 a.m., on Thursday, May 1, at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen.

Nelda was born on Jan. 29, 1934, in LaGrange County, to George and Lois (Warstler) Brandeberry.

On Dec. 18, 1954, in Elkhart County, she married Dana D. Snider.

Surviving are two daughters, Beth (Jill Weaver) Snider of Shipshewana, Carol Olsen of Shipshewana; sister, Carolyn (Clarence) Wenger of Quarryville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dana Snider, October 17, 2024; and her parents.

Nelda was committed to her family, church and community.

She was an active lifelong member of Middlebury Church of the Brethren and served as the Christian Education Director and organist.

Nelda and her husband, Dana, implemented and taught the Stephen's Ministries program.

Nelda attended Manchester College and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. She went to Ball State University to earn her Master's Degree in Education. She taught Home Economics for 28 years in the Middlebury Community Schools system.

A memorial service will be held at Middlebury Church of the Brethren on Saturday, May 31, at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be given to Heifer International, Camp Mack, Milford, Indiana or Middlebury Church of the Brethren.
