Goshen, IN - Monte K. Jones, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 2, after an extended illness.
Monte was born in Muncie on June 9, 1953 to Donald and Adalea (Carver) Jones. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Jonathan (Shawn Flynn) Jones, South Bend; and two brothers, David and Dennis Jones, both of Elkhart.
Mr. Jones was a member of Grace Community Church for 15 years and a valued participant of "Fight Club".
He loved people and worked as a marriage and family therapist. He especially enjoyed working with those with special needs.
He was a friend to many.
Monte also enjoyed being outdoors and traveling the country.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 7, also at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Pastor Jordan Gillette will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Grace Community Church designated for "Through the Roof special needs ministry".
