Maurice D. Hooley, 93, of LaGrange, died Saturday, Oct. 19, at The Waters of LaGrange.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1931, in Sturgis, Michigan, to Roy and Delsie (Hostetler) Hooley.

On Feb. 18, 1951, in LaGrange County, he married Marjorie J. (Hostetler). She preceded Maurice in on April 16, 1996.

Maurice would marry again on March 7, 1998, when he married Ada (Troyer) Beachy in Sarasota, Florida. She survives Maurice in LaGrange.

Maurice was a farmer and a lifelong member of the LaGrange County community.

He also worked at various farming businesses. He worked at Wolf Grain, Lambright's Hatchery and the Trading Place Auction and the Shipshewana Flea Market.

He attended the Marion Christian Fellowship.

Along with his wife Ada, survivors would include his four sons, Duane Hooley, Steve (Marcia) Hooley and Keith (Pam) Hooley, all of LaGrange, Randy (Deb) Hooley of Shipshewana; 9 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; stepsons, Daryl (Linda) Beachy of Kokomo, Greg (Billie) Beachy of Louisville, KY, Doug (Laura) Beachy of Greentown, IN, Tim (Sharry) Beachy of New Braunfels, TX; 15 step-grandchildren; 26 step-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis (Hope) Hooley of Sellersburg, IN.

Preceding Maurice in death are his parents; a brother, Franics "Frank" Hooley; a stepson, John David Beachy; and a step-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Shore Church, 7235 W 100 N, Shipshewana, IN.

The Pastor Ron Roth will officiate the services and burial will take place in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church before the services from 10 a.m. until services time of 12 p.m.

Memorials may be given in Maurice's memory to the Gideon's.
