Middlebury, Indiana - Mary Edna Yoder, 71, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 8:37 am, on Saturday, September 20, at her sons' home. She was born on March 10, 1954, in Pryor, OK, to Eli and Lydia "Lorene" (Stutzman) Yoder. On January 31, 1975, in Middlebury, she married Ananias "Ray" Yoder, he died November 19, 2019. Surviving are son, Steve (Lori) Yoder of Middlebury; Three Grandchildren, Reylyn Yoder, Kirsten (Colin) Gifford, Kianna Yoder; great grandson, Louis Gifford; three brothers, Harry (Barew23q1`b) Yoder of Middlebury, Harvey (Arlene) Yoder of Idaho, Nelson (Verda) Yoder of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Daniel Yoder; infant brother, Alvie Joe Yoder. Mary was a homemaker who loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved sewing/quilting, collecting antiques, bird watching, and was a fan of classic TV shows (especially "I Love Lucy"). Later in life, she was a seamstress for a few local RV companies, an Amish taxi driver, and was a caretaker for her mother. She will always be remembered as the "Pie Lady" who made countless delicious pies (and many other sweets) for those she loved. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. There will also be one hour of viewing, starting at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 25, at Griner Church: 12418 Cr 20, Middlebury, with a graveside service to follow at Thomas Cemetery in Goshen. A memorial service will then be held at 11:30 am back at the church. Services will be conducted by pastors Dan Bontrager and David Bell.
