Elkhart, Indiana - Mary Lou Hartman, 79, passed away Aug. 19, 2020, at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Nappanee, to John and Hope (Brock) Callander.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Callander and Ralph Callander; and companion of more than 25 years, Paul Watson.

Surviving are two sons, Robert (Kathy) Fleck and Shawn Hartman; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Barbara Miller, Doris Rutherford and Ellen Callander.

Mary worked at Federal Paperboard and Gustafson Lighting for many years. She was also an Auxiliary member of the D.A.V. The most precious thing to her was watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Presiding will be Pastor Shirley Fox.

Burial will be held at a later date in Frame Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
