Tualatin - Marvin Ray Mast, 80, Tualatin, Oregon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 8 at home with family at his side. Marvin passed from a rare Sarcoma cancer that he fought fiercely for over a year.

He was born on Dec. 1, 1945 in Nappanee.

Marvin was a 1963 graduate of Nappanee High School.

He and his brother, Allen proudly served their 1W service in Flint, Michigan. During this time, he met his best buddies, Milt, John, Eldon and Earl.

Marvin then went on to the University of Southern California (USC) to earn his Bachelor of Science from the School of Business.

Marvin spent the next 40+ years in the RV industry. He had his own dealership for over 25 years in Lubbock, Texas.

Marvin married the love of his life, Carleen M. Jeli, on June 25, 1999 in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. They have lived in Tualatin, Oregon for the past 26 years.

Marvin loved his music, gardening, road trips, their pets, and goats too.

He especially loved his photography and nature. Over the years, he created an extensive photo collection of farm barns, flowers, frogs, covered bridges, and vineyards. He received multiple photography awards.

Marvin said to others, "Always be kind, live intensely and celebrate every day", "Remember to take deep breaths", "Take good care." He was a lover of living and tried to make every day a little bit better.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Carleen; son, Brandon, Abilene, Texas, stepson, Matthew Brusse (Lori); and cherished grandsons, Cameron and Logan, West Linn, Oregon.

He is also survived by his siblings, Allen (Norma) Mast, Goshen; Mary Carpenter, Elkhart; Miriam (Brian) Hartman, Wakarusa; Mattie (Mark) Chupp, Nappanee; Naomi (Aaron) Yoder, Leesburg; and Ernie (Debbie) Mast, Fort Wayne; two aunts; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Anna Mast; brother, Joe and wife, Cynda; and brother-in-law, Marion Carpenter.

Celebration of Life Memorials will be announced later.
