Goshen, IN - Marion Nisley, 58, of Goshen, (district: 66-1), died at 3:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1967, in Goshen, to Ora and Ada (Graber) Nisley.

On Sept. 27, 1989, in Shipshewana, he married Ruby Mae Bontrager. She survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are eight children, JoAnna (Leonard) Bontrager of Middlebury, Larry Jay (Betty) Nisley of Shipshewana, Doretta Sue Nisley at home, Wanda Jean (Maynard) Lehman of LaGrange, Noreen Nisley at home, Sharon (David) Bontrager, Glenda Fern (Delmar) Bontrager, both of Goshen, Geneva Rose (special friend, Jesse Miller) Nisley at home; 12 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Maria, Janelle, Ellie, Janae, Jenna, Caleb, Kyle, Dora, Jacob, Michelle, and Aaron; five brothers, Mervin (Linda) Nisley of Middlebury, Larry (Jennifer) Nisley of Evansville, Ora Jr. (Irene) Nisley of Topeka, Marlin (Elma) Nisley of Millersburg, Vernon (Katie) Nisley of Topeka; three sisters, Elsie (Samuel) Bontrager of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, LeAnna (Samuel) Bontrager of Topeka, Miriam (Lavern) Bontrager of Shipshewana; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Nisley of Goshen, Loretta Nisley of Ligonier; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Lyle Dean Nisley, who died July 2, 2026; and a stillborn son, Aaron Lynn Nisley; two brothers, Lavern and Elroy Nisley.

Marion was a farmer and a buggy shop owner.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 and all day Friday, Aug. 7 at the family's residence, 62413 State Road 13, Goshen.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernest Schrock and the home ministers.

Burial will be in Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller-Stewart Funeral home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
