Nappanee, IN - Marietta Yoder, age 59 years and 3 months of Nappanee, IN, died Tuesday morning June 30, 2026, after a 2-month battle with cancer. Marietta was born on March 30, 1967 in LaGrange, IN to Ora and Susie (Yoder) Miller. On April 28, 1988, Marietta married Orva Yoder in Kingston, WI; together, they lived in holy matrimony 38 years, 2 months, and 2 days. Marietta was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by her husband, Orva Yoder of Nappanee; 8 children: 3 daughters: Amanda (Special friend Matt Miller) Yoder, of Nappanee, Doreen (Mervin) Mast of Milford, IN, and Rose (John) Schmucker of Etna Green, IN; and 5 sons: Marlin (Susan) Yoder of Nappanee, Maynard (Marie) Yoder of Dalton, WI, Matthew (Kara) Yoder of Nappanee, Nathan (Delores) Yoder of Millersburg, and Devon (Eva) Yoder of Milford; 13 grandchildren; mother, Susie Miller of Dalton, WI; 7 siblings: 4 sisters: Erma (Calvin) Schmucker of Dalton, WI, Marilyn (Wilmer) Schmucker of Cambria, WI, Mabel (Omer) Schwartz of Dalton, WI, and Wilma (Samuel) Miller of Owenton, KY; and 3 brothers: Harley (Joanna) Miller of Winchester, ID) Perry (Rosemary) Miller of Dalton, WI, and Ervin (Irene) Miller Montello, WI. Marietta was preceded in death by her father, Ora Miller; daughter Rachel Yoder; 3 grandchildren: Hannah, Josiah, and Japheth; father-in-law, William A. Yoder; and mother-in-law, Elsie R. (Bontrager) Yoder. Visitation will be held at the family residence (8094 W 1050 N, Nappanee, IN) on Thursday, July 2, 2026 after 10 am and all day on Friday, July 3, 2026. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 Saturday, July 4, 2026 also at the family residence. Bishop Chris Yoder and Home Ministries of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Graber Cemetery, Nappanee. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
