Lizzie Ellen Wingard Obituary

Lizzie Ellen Wingard, 76, of Topeka (district: 28-3), died at home, at 1:00 am, on Saturday, April 5. She was born on March 30, 1949, in Goshen, to John and Ida (Hostetler) Frey. On February 15, 1972, in Topeka, she married Wilbur Wingard, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, Janie (Kevin) Helmuth of Nappanee, Anita (Wendell) Miller of Nappanee, Christina (Lynn) Schmucker of Goshen, Suzy (Galen) Hostetler of Sturgis, MI; two sons, Gary (Emily) Wingard of Sturgis, MI, Kenny Wingard of Topeka; 17 blessings (grandchildren); six brothers, Ken (Joan) Frey of Goshen, Elvie (Clara) Frey of Shipshewana, Leonard (Erma) Frey of Shipshewana, Mahlon (Kathy) Frey of Topeka, Dan Frey of LaGrange, Maynard Frey of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her father, John Frey, mother, Ida Frey. Lizzie was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 6, and all-day Monday, April 7, at the John Troyer residence: 11322N 700W-57, Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, April 8, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Mark Kramer and the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
