Kristina Lynn Roy McDonald, age 51, of Ligonier passed away on March 17, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 30, 1973 to Fred & Linda (Troyer) Roy in LaGrange.

Kristina worked as a nurse from 1993-2012 at LaGrange Hospital and in several area nursing homes. She specialized in private duty pediatric home care, working with children on ventilators.

She also worked at LuxCafe in Goshen for several years and then at Applebees in Kendallville as a server and bartender.

Kristina loved her children and family. And last but not least, she loved her cats.

She is survived by her parents, Fred & Linda Roy of Ligonier; son, Bryce Salzbrun of LaGrange; daughters, Beatrice (Ali Cruse) Harlan of South Bend and Olivia (Efrain Salas) McDonald of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Roy in 2015; paternal grandparents, Bernard & Wava (Wiard) Roy; maternal grandparents, Wilbur & Elizabeth (grandmother) Troyer, and Idell Troyer (step grandmother).

Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 21, from 2-7 p.m., at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767.

A funeral service will be held in Kristina's honor on Saturday, March 22, at 10:00 a.m., at Yeager Funeral Home. Rose Greenlee and Pastor Cody Cripe will officiate.

Burial will be in Eden Cemetery in Topeka.

Kristina requested that bright colors are to be worn.
