Kenton "Kenny" Max Grimm, age 78, formerly of Nappanee, IN, died at 1:47 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Signature Health Care in Bremen, IN. Kenny was born on May 25, 1946 in Elkhart, IN to Max and Thelma (Coppes) Grimm. He was a 1964 Nappanee High School graduate and lived his entire life in the Nappanee area. Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army and was active in the Nappanee American Legion Post #154. On September 19, 2003, Ken married Penny Housour in Nappanee. Kenny was a long-time member of the Nappanee Church of the Brethren. He was an avid collector of red toy tractors and was a member of the Michiana Farm Toy Collectors Club. Kenny loved his family and cherished time spent at family get togethers. He was a proud grandfather and especially loved all of his grandchildren. Kenny is survived by his wife of 21+ years, Penny Grimm of Nappanee; 2 sons, Kevin (Sherry) Grimm of Goshen, IN and Brent Grimm of Columbus, OH; a daughter, Donna Bowling of Goshen; a step-daughter, Erica (Brooks) Egolf of Wakarusa, IN; a step-son, Jason (Kimberly) Housour of Plymouth, IN; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren with another on the way; mother, Thelma Grimm of Goshen; 2 brothers, Keith (Michele) Grimm and Kerry (Brenda) Grimm, both of Albion, IN; and a sister, Roberta (Jim) Webb of Goshen, IN. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Max Grimm, and a granddaughter, Riley Miller. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3 pm. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ken's name can be given to the American Cancer Society or the Nappanee American Legion Post #154.
