Kenneth Ray Knisley
Kenneth Ray Kenny Knisley, 87, Syracuse, died at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1932, in New Paris, to John and Cecil (Strycker) Knisley.
He attended New Paris Public Schools. He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was married on April 13, 1952, to Kathryn L. Huey, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2017.
He was a lifetime New Paris, Goshen and Syracuse area resident. He retired from Goshen Rubber Company after 25 years. He worked at AC Fabrication in Goshen for 20 years, and was a part-time bartender and cook at the Wawasee Bowling Alley for many years. He was an avid bowler.
He is survived by three sons, Kevin Knisley, Bristol, Dana (Gloria) Knisley, Syracuse, and Brian (Sarah) Knisley, Syracuse; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald (June) Knisley, New Paris, and Glen (Mary Ann) Knisley, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Dixie Knisley; two sisters, Ruth Mench and Mary Jane Byrd; and four brothers, Carl, Clarence, Ralph and John Knisley Jr.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral and military services will follow Friday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw.
Preferred memorials may be given to Riley Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program.
