Goshen, Indiana - Kayla Lynn Mast, age 32 of Goshen, IN, passed away Monday afternoon at Goshen General Hospital after complications from surgery. Kayla was born on October 21, 1993 in Bremen, IN to Vicki Mast and Gordon Myers. Kayla was a lifelong area resident and was a 2012 graduate of NorthWood High School. She attended Nappanee Missionary Church and was active in the Choir. Kayla never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to all she met. She loved cats and was proud to be a crazy cat lady. She had a passion for football. She loved watching the game and especially loved watching the Chicago Bears with Papa. She was Papa's little buddy and the two of them made many memories together watching football, going to Notre Dame Women's Basketball games, or other fun adventures. Kayla loved her family. She loved the time she spent with them, especially going out to eat and to local fish frys. Kayla loved the togetherness of sharing meals with those she loved and was always happy to have dessert! Kayla is survived by her mother and step father, Vicki (Nate) Sprague of Goshen; father, Gordon Myers of Texas; 4 siblings: Kaiden Sprague of Elkhart, IN, Kamryn Sprague, Kody Sprague, and Kalina Sprague, all of Goshen; maternal grandparents, Allen and Norma Mast of Goshen; paternal grandmother, Laura Myers of Goshen; and paternal step grandmother, Sue Sprague of Milford; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kayla is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Allen Myers and paternal step grandfather, George Sprague. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 and from 9-10 am on Saturday, April 4, 2026 with a funeral service starting at 10 am, all at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel (Enter Door J). Pastor Jason Rohde from Nappanee Missionary Church will officiate. Memorial Contributions in Kayla's name can go to the family or the funeral home to help with funeral costs.
