Judy Elaine Bontrager, 70, Rochester, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

She was born May 21, 1948, in Chester County, Pennsylvania, to Melvin R. and Edna (Hershberger) Yoder.

Mrs. Bontrager moved to Indiana from Pennsylvania in 1951. She was a graduate of Bethany Christian High School.

On May 2, 1970, she married Leonard Dean Bontrager at the First Church of God in Nappanee.

She had worked as purchasing agent for Monaco Coach and had also worked at Dwyer. She was a member of Mill Creek Missionary Church in Rochester. Judy enjoyed her family, cooking and baking.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard; sons, John Patrick Bontrager, Rochester, and Chad Aaron Bontrager, Nappanee; granddaughter, Tionna Grace Bontrager; and brothers, Daryl (Gloria) Yoder and Rick (Joy) Yoder, both of Goshen, and Byron (Ellen) Yoder, Nappanee.

According to Judy's wishes, she will be cremated. Inurnment will take place at Union Center East Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, where there will be a celebration of life service beginning at 6 p.m. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to Life Care Center of Rochester.
