John Stephen Gordon, 59, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016, at the Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 6, 1957, in Elkhart, to Ralph and Joyce (Sriver) Gordon.

Surviving are four siblings, Vicki (Don) Ellis, Elkhart, Mike (Aundrea) Gordon, Norwalk, Ohio, Pam (Mike) Clauson and David Gordon, both of Indianapolis; four nieces, Amanda Gordon, Charlotte Pratt, Kim Madera and Shelby Werner; two nephews, Nicholas Lewis and Andrew Gordon; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Norm Lewis.

John worked at ADEC in the Day Services department for many years. He enjoyed playing Knex, doing puzzles, dot to dot, activity books and mazes. He liked working with his hands. John loved watching QVC, which was his favorite TV show.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. The Revs. Elizabeth Kelsey and Rosanna McFadden from Creekside Church of the Brethren will be presiding.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, is entrusted with his arrangements.
