Jerry W. Rabe, 73, LaGrange, passed away Friday, Dec. 30 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born June 8, 1943 in San Luis Obispo, California to Charles and Laura (Cory) Rabe.

On Feb. 27, 1965 he married Betty Lehner. She preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1990. He then married Donna Henderson on June 23, 1995. She survives along with Jerry's two daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Dull, Elkhart, and Teri (Tracy) White, Little Elm, Texas; Donna's two children, Renee (Jim) White, Coldwater, Michigan, and Dustin (Carla) Call, Angola.

Also surviving are six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; one brother, Larry (Donna) Rabe, Elkhart and his many wonderful car friends he met over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lori, and a brother, Richard.

Jerry graduated in 1961 from Concord High School and was president of the senior class. He served in the National Guard for several years, was a member of the LA Breakfast Club for over 20 years, a member of the NEISG Tractor Club and was an avid classic car enthusiast.

Jerry was employed at Associates Financial in Mishawaka, Federal Paperboard in Elkhart for 23 years, Coachmen for 17 years and Farmers State Bank.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, and from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the funeral home. Pastor Drew Ryall from the New Life Fellowship, Topeka will preside, and entombment will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart Hospice House.
