Naples, FL - Jane Schwalm Miller passed away on Feb. 5, in Naples, Florida.

She was born in Goshen, to Florence (Shank) and Merle LaMar Schwalm on Sept. 23, 1932.

After graduating from Goshen High School in 1950, she entered DePauw University, graduating Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1954. She was a member of Delta Delta. Later she received an MBA from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

During her work in public relations at Shillito's in Cincinnati, she met her future husband, Robert W. Miller. They were married on Dec. 15, 1956.

Because of his ascending corporate positions at General Electric, Sunbeam, Schick Electric, Spalding Sporting Goods and Healthometer Scale, the young couple moved 8 times, to Cleveland and Aurora, Ohio, Trumbull and Ridgefield, Connecticut, Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Morristown, New Jersey and Wheaton, Illinois.

Together, they travelled to 31 countries both for work and later, for pleasure.

Jane was a deacon and later an elder in First Presbyterian Church, Wheaton, Illinois, where she also dedicated time to philanthropic activities including P.E.O. and Central DuPage Hospital Auxiliary.

In Naples, she was a member of the Moorings Presbyterian Church and later, Bonita Presbyterian Church.

Their children, Pamela Crain (Kevin) and Todd Miller were always paramount in their lives.

Family travels and wonderful times were shared during their many moves.

They divided time between their home in Wheaton, Illinois and a family lake cottage in Syracuse, Indiana and later, Naples, Florida.

Finally, Indiana and Florida were their destinations with Bentley Village eventually becoming their winter home.

Bob passed away in 2010 after 54 years of marriage.

Survivors are their dear children, Pam (Kevin) Crain of Syracuse, and Todd Miller of Naples, Florida; along with their beloved grandchildren, Allison (Kevin) Donnelly and Jack (Alexis) Crain, Chicago, Illinois; and sister, Donna Schrock, Naples, Florida; and cousins and many more nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
