Goshen, Indiana - Irene D. Gunn, 83, Goshen, died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Waterford Crossing.
She was born on March 19, 1942, in Goshen, to Roy & V. Lucille (Lung) Culp.
On June 26, 1982, in Elkhart, she married James C. Gunn Sr.; and he died on April 19, 2024.
Surviving are her daughter, Gwen (Doug) Hernley; sons, Gregory (Teresa) Stump and Garrett (Mae) Stump, all of Goshen; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (John) Mast, Milford.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, James; grandson, Nathan Yoder; and a brother, Delbert V. Culp.
Irene was a 1960 graduate of Syracuse High School and attended South Bend College of Commerce for 1 year.
She worked at Crown International as a secretary for 11 years, retiring in 2002 and also worked at Johnson Controls for 13 years. She also served as a Stephen Minister at Goshen Hospital.
Irene was a member of New Paris Missionary Church.
Jim and Irene made many memories of traveling to northern Michigan where they enjoyed camping and fishing.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St. Goshen, IN 46526.
Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to an 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Feb. 5, at New Paris Missionary Church, 67621 IN-15, New Paris, Indiana 46553. Pastor David Hackney will officiate.
Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.
