Goshen, IN - Ideana G. Yoder, 88, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at The Waters of Syracuse.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1937 in White Pigeon, Michigan to Virgil and Frances (Welburn) Miller.
On March 18, 1956, she married Clarence "C.T." Yoder in White Pigeon, Michigan. She was proud that they were married for 69 years.
Survivors include three children, Sharida Burkholder, Syracuse, Doyle (Susan) Yoder, Goshen, and Sonya (Tom) Rutledge, Greenbrier, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ferlin Yoder; three grandchildren, Danielle Burkholder, Ian Rutledge and Madeline Rutledge; two brothers, Verland and Sharon Miller; and three sisters, Vivian Miller, Oma Bowen, and Zayda Wolf.
Ideana spent her professional career as the Payroll Manager for Carriage, Inc., where she was known for her diligence and hard work.
A woman of faith, she was a member of Goshen First Church.
Ideana had a zest for life and adventure. She and Clarence loved traveling together, exploring both the United States and various destinations abroad.
Closer to home, she found great joy in listening to and playing Bluegrass music and, above all else, making memories with her family.
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
Visitation will also be held on Monday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Goshen First Church or Cook Station Park, Millersburg.
