Millersburg, Indiana - Homer Eugene Miller, 72, of Millersburg, (district:63-8), died at 9:14 am on Monday, May 25 at his residence, following a battle with cancer. He was born on November 10, 1953, in LaGrange, to John Jr. and Freeda Mae (Miller) Miller. On March 14, 1974, in Ligonier, he married Ruth Ann Mast, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are six children, Lyle (Carolyn) Miller of Ligonier, Marsha (Larry) Bontrager of Millersburg, Joetta (Ernie) Hochstetler of Topeka, Kevin (Doretta) Miller of White Pigeon, MI, Dale (Gabrielle) Miller of Fruitport, MI, Jason Miller of Wawaka; 17 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orville (Nettie) Miller of Shipshewana, Richard (Betty) Miller of Goshen; five sisters, Ruth (John) Yoder of Bristol, Lou Ella Nisley of Middlebury, Vera (Elroy) Bontrager of Goshen, Carolyn (Glen) Miller of Topeka, Dorothy (Leonard) Hostetler of Millersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosemary Miller; brother-in-law, Joe Nisley. Homer was a farmer and worked at Rock Run Industries for 15 years. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26 and all-day Wednesday, May 27 at the David Hochstetler residence, 65613 CR 43, Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 28 at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Freeman Miller and ministry. Burial will be in South Haven Cemetery, Millersburg. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
