Hildegarde Hildie Lois Reimer Terry, 87, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Sept. 26.

She was born June 19, 1929 in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, to John H.W. and Anna Toews Reimer.

Hildie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Naomi Reimer Lepp and Linea Reimer Geiser, and by an infant son, Danny.

Hildie is survived by her loving husband, C. Morris Mick Terry. Other survivors include three sisters, Wendyln Rempel, Eugene, Oregon, Elizabeth Bartel, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and Martini Janz of Goshen, Indiana.

Mick and Hildie met in Indianapolis, Indiana, and were married in 1979 at the Fredonia Church near Como, Mississippi, Mick's hometown.

Hildie graduated with a registered nursing degree from Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana. She was a faculty member at the Indiana University School of Nursing. Her registered nursing career included practicing at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, and as a public home health care nurse in the Indianapolis area.

She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking gourmet meals and she was always a gracious hostess. Though she had no living children of her own, Hildie was always involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews, as well as her grandnieces and grandnephews.

Hildie and Mick joined St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock 37 years ago and were faithful and beloved members. Hildie was an active member of United Methodist Women, The Faith Circle and The Vines and Branches Bible Study group.

A memorial service will take place Friday, Oct. 7, at St. James United Methodist Church at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the St. James UMC General Endowment Fund.
