Goshen, IN - Harry Lee Prough, 90, of Goshen, passed away on Sunday, April 5.
He was born on March 11, 1936, in Goshen to Perry and Mary (Coffman) Prough.
On March 24, 1957, he married Margaret (Groff) Prough. She preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2026.
Harry is survived by his two sons, Donald (Colleen) Prough of Goshen and Dexter (Linda) Prough of Howe; and his sister, Mary (Chupp), who was also his twin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; two sisters, Grace Wyse and Kathleen Stahl; and one brother, Earl Prough.
Harry worked in maintenance for Middlebury Community Schools for 28 years. He later worked for Yoder-Culp Funeral Home for 17 years, retiring in 2017. Prior to that, he was employed at A.M. Garage.
He grew up attending Clinton Brick Mennonite Church and was a member of People's Bible Church.
Harry enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states.
He was a 1954 graduate of Millersburg High School.
After retirement, he and Margaret volunteered in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
They were known for their hospitality, and Harry was often a quiet, behind-the-scenes helper to those in need. He never met a stranger.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service Friday, April 10, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
Burial will follow at Clinton Brick Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to People's Bible Church.
