Harold M. Lowe, 84, of LaGrange, died, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

He was born on November 24, 1939, in Frontier, Michigan, to Maurice John and Gertrude Louise (Armstrong) Lowe.

Harold worked as a truck driver from 1969 - 2011. He drove truck for various contractors over his career but enjoyed his time from 1984 - 1995 when he was operating Lowe Trucking, Inc. with his wife Rose.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 - 1961 and was a lifetime member of the LaGrange American Legion Post #215. He also held memberships in the Antique Truck Association, AMVets.org and the Iron Horseman Motorcycle Club.

On October 29, 1971, he married Rose Marie Shidler at the Scott United Methodist Church. She survives him in LaGrange.

Also surviving is his daughter, Susan Miller of Elkhart, IN; 8 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Parian of Angola, IN; and two brothers, Allan (Joyce) Lowe of Howe, IN, and Roger (Betsy) Lowe of Angola, IN.

Preceding Harold in death are his parents; a daughter, Mary Hollan; a son, Rodney Lowe; and three great-grandchildren, Rodney S. Lowe, Jeffrey Rudd and Marcy Jean Winnie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St., LaGrange, IN.

The Rev. Jerry Burghduff will officiate the services and burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange with Military Rites by the LaGrange American Legion Post 215#.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 2nd from 2:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Memorial may be contributed in Harold's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
