Grant F. Newcomer, 45, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly, Saturday, June 30, at his residence because of an accident while working on his car.
He was born Sept. 22, 1972, to Gene and Gwendolyn (Miller) Newcomer.
On July 23, 1994, he married Michele Hochstetler at Shore Church in Shipshewana. She survives him in LaGrange.
Grant was working for K-Z RV Inc. in Shipshewana as a project manager.
He was a lifelong member of the Shore Church and stayed active by serving on the worship team.
Grant was a lover of music and being with people. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, horseback riding, cars and always had a home project in progress. He was a good father who loved his two children and was always lending a helping hand to others.
Surviving are his wife, Michele; a daughter, Victoria Jean Newcomer of Topeka; a son, Gage F. Newcomer of LaGrange; his parents, Gene and Gwendolyn Newcomer of Shipshewana; and a sister, Gretchen and LaVon Miller of Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, at the Shore Church, 7235 W. 100 North, Shipshewana, with the Rev. Carl Horner officiating.
A viewing will be held at the church Thursday, July 5, from 2-8 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. Friday before the funeral service.
