Ligonier, IN - Glenn O. Troyer, 78, of Ligonier (district: 24) died in the early morning on Sunday, May 17, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1947, in LaGrange to Orla and Edna (Yoder) Troyer.

On May 22, 1969, he married Vera Miller. She survives. They lived in matrimony for 56 years, 11 months, and 17 days.

Survivors in addition to his wife are their eleven children, LaMar (Vera) Troyer of Ligonier, Eugene (Anna) Troyer of Ligonier, Devon (LouAnn) Troyer of Wawaka, Doris (Herman) Bontrager of Wawaka, Allen (LeAnna) Troyer of Wolcottville, Kenny (Lori) Troyer of Ligonier, Alice (Nathan) Miller of Millersburg, Glenn Jr. (Ruby) Troyer of LaGrange, Richard (Kara) Troyer of Syracuse, Marvin (Martha) Troyer of Ligonier, and Floyd (Ellen) Troyer of Wolcottville; 78 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Leroy (Anna Marie) of LaGrange, Howard (Barbara) of Ligonier, Maynard (Vera) of Topeka, and Floyd (Mary) of Chouteau, OK; 7 sisters, Irene Mullet of Topeka, Mary Ellen (Freeman) Bontrager of LaGrange, Pollyanna (Evert) Yoder of Belle Center, Ohio, Gertie Troyer of Topeka, Fannie Marie (Philip) Wagler of Freemont, Michigan, Amanda Sue (Sam) Yoder of Howe, and Edna Mae Schlabach of Farewell, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 infant brothers, Wilber, Orla Jr., and Freeman; 4 brothers-in-law, Mel Mullet, Abner Stoll, Enos Eicher, and David Jr. Schlabach; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Glenn worked in the factories and was a farmer.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18, and all day Tuesday, May 19, at the family's residence, 4311 W. 1100 N., Ligonier.

There will be no calling hours on Wednesday due to a family wedding.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Daniel Miller and the home ministers.

Burial will be in Clearspring Cemetery, Topeka.
