Goshen, Indiana - Glen William Larimer, 91, Goshen, died 5:22 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Waterford Crossing. He was born on April 21, 1934, to Chester and Mary (Leer) Larimer in Millersburg, IN. As a boy he enjoyed summers with his grandma Leer on her farm. He attended Millersburg High School where he played basketball and track. He met Laverle Berkey and they were married on June 28, 1953. They welcomed two children, Pamela and Randall. Glen worked at Johnson Controls for years in various roles such as foreman. He also painted houses on the side for years with his father.

In his free time, he enjoyed collecting stamps, toy tractors as well as going to auctions. He enjoyed doing paint by number art, puzzles, sudoku and gardening. He was a member of the Maple City Bowling Hall of Fame. In his later years, he enjoyed watching ball games and going out for dinner at China Buffet, Tiffany's, and the Pizza Depot.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Laverle in 2018, a special granddaughter who always kept him happy with her baking, Amber Larimer in 2023 and granddaughter Michelle Santiago in 2023. He was also preceded in death by a sister June Troyer.

Left to cherish his stories and memories are daughter Pamela Shidler, son Randy and Rosa Larimer and grandchildren Craig and Jason Churchill-Larimer, Jason and Casandra Fisher, Jennifer and Mike Ponko, Jillian and David May, Jennifer Santiago and Carmen Renteria. Great grandchildren Alex and Wanda Young, Austin & Lilly Young, Kurstin Young, Daphne & Ben Nichols, Natalie & Marissa May, Zeke, Quentin, Keegan, Trinity Fisher, Finley & Fisher Ponko, Ramon Santiago, Raven Fancher, JJ Camacho, Isabelle Ibarra, Jorge and Jose Renteria. Great great grandchildren - Paislee, Lincoln, Gwendelyn, Phoebe, Maverick, Luna, Layla, Jovanni, Saraya and Aeric. Two sisters Joellen and Alan Sands and Grace Huber also survive.

A special thank you to the staff at Parkview Hospital, Waterford Crossing and granddaughter Casie who provided exceptional care in his last year.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing 1 hour prior to an 11 am funeral service Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St. Goshen, IN 46526. The Rev Jason Churchill, his grandson, will officiate. A burial will follow at Rock Run Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be directed toward Rock Run Cemetery Association, send to 311 S.
