George A. Lantz, 88, of Milford, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Mason Health & Rehab in Warsaw. He was born April 26, 1930, in Millersburg to Guy A. and Mina M. (Willard) Lantz.
He attended New Paris High School, was a United States Army veteran, and was married on June 4, 1950, in Goshen to Shirley A. Breniser, who preceded him on Nov. 28, 2000.
He was a self-employed bricklayer, lived in Elkhart County until 1957, and then moved to Milford from Dunlap.
He formerly attended Warsaw Missionary Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Robyn (Dave) Severance, and Pamela (Brad) Eldridge, both of Mishawaka; a son, Michael Lantz of Milford; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Debra Lantz; four sisters, Helen Whitehead, Lucille Sherman, Mildred Coy and Lois Stouder; and a brother, Donald Lantz.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will follow in the Milford Cemetery.
