Howe - Floyd Jacob Mast, 84, of Howe, IN, died Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.

He was born in LaGrange, IN, on July 30, 1940, to Mose and Anna Mae (Miller) Mast.

Floyd was a tool and die maker. He worked at various manufacturing plants in the area. He spent many years working at Dometic Corporation in LaGrange, Lake Park Industries in Shipshewana and Machine-Rite in LaGrange.

On June 30, 1990, he married Rita R. Lewis. She survives Floyd in Howe, IN.

After Floyd retired, he went to work mowing the greens for many years at Cedar Lake Golf Course in Howe. He loved to mow at the golf course and his house. His yard was immaculate. Floyd enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing cards. One of his favorite passions was singing and dancing. He was a sports fan and loved the Indiana Hoosiers and the Detroit Tigers.

Along with his wife Rita, Floyd is survived by his two daughters; Angela (Pat) Conley of Avon, IN, and Jennifer (Tracy) Harker, LaGrange, IN, two step-children, Roy Robinson of Goshen, IN, and Sandra Robinson of Sturgis, MI, two grandsons, Nathan and Tyler Conley, and two step-grandchildren, Alayna (Erik) Kitchen and Bryant (Elkah) Voeson, two step-great grandchildren, Parker Kitchen and Oliver Kitchen; two brothers, Elmer (Katie Hochtetler) Mast of LaGrange, JR. Mast of Goshen, IN; four sisters, Katie Irene Lehman of LaGrange, LuElla (Willard) Miller of Topeka, Mary Etta (Dan) Yoder of LaGrange and LeAnna (Veron) Slabach of Shipshewana, IN; four step-sisters, Mary Eash, Clara Eash, Katie Ann, Verna; and three step-brothers, Wilbur Eash, John Henry Eash and Melvin Eash and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Floyd in death are his parents; step-mother; Abbie J. Mast; and a brother-in-law, John Lehman, step-brother, Willis H. Eash.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the LaGrange First United Methodist Church, 209 W. Spring St., from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the church with the Rev. Crystal Jacobson officiating the services.

Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.

Memorials may be contributed in Floyd's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
