LaGrange, IN - Fern L. Miller, 75, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully at 1:42 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, in her home, surrounded by her family. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Fern was born on July 25, 1950, in Goshen, to Vernon and Shirley (Ropp) Nisley.

On Dec. 28, 1968, she married Ralph Miller Jr. He survives.

Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Roger (Susan Horn) Miller of Sevierville, Tennesse and Brent (Amy Gooch) Miller of Shipshewana; six grandchildren, Robbie (Shelley) Amsden, Nicole Miller, Ashley (Amos) Yoder, Chase (Kaitlyn) Miller, Gage Miller, and Cadence Gooch; six great-grandchildren, Rylee, Tennley, Jace, and Noelle Amsden, Hannah Burkey, and Oliver Head; two sisters, Karen Givens of Andover, New York and Marilynn (Phil) Frye of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Fern had a love for the children of the Appalachian Mountains. She and her sisters made several hundred fleece blankets covered in prayer for them. What a blessing!

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, June 13, also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Rich Laskowski.

Memorials may be given to Christian Aid Ministries, Shipshewana.
