I was saddened to here about his death today. I bring my dog to visit all the residents at Miller's Merry Manor a couple times a month and even though his wife doesn't speak, she always gave us such big smiles.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Ellsworth. I have good memories of when the Risser family lived just around the corner from us out in the country. Sometimes when Marvin and I went to IN I would call him and ask questions about things of the past and he would normally say I remembered correctly. He had a remarkable memory! We visited him a few years ago in the nursing home and I noticed all the pictures on the walls, told him they looked like those that hung in his grandparent's (Will & Lulu Risser) home and he proceeded to tell me who all the people were. I also have memories of visiting his other grandparent's (Warren & Amy Shaum). That is telling my age, too. Our prayers a...re with your family during this time.Read more

So sorry to hear about the passing of Ellsworth! The Risser Family has had a lot of losses in the past few weeks! I remember visiting in the Risser household many times when we were all young children. After we married and I worked with Evelyn at LuAnn Nursing Home, we enjoyed visiting in Ellsworth & Evelyn’s home. Many years after we moved to Canada we would still get together when we were in IN. Please accept our condolences to all of you! You are in our prayers!
