Elizabeth "Betty" Holdeman, 86, of Union, Michigan went to be with her Lord Tuesday March 27, 2018 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart.

Betty was born Jan. 9, 1932 in Union, Michigan as the daughter of Albert and Eva "Mildred" (Hart) Hoffman. They preceded her in death along with three sisters, Alice Binkley, Carolyn Salo and Mary Lou Chilik.

On Jan. 27, 1952, Betty married Paul L. Holdeman Sr. He preceded her in death in May of 1986

She is survived by her son, Paul (Lisa) Holdeman Jr., of Elkhart; a daughter Sandy (Jerry) DeCicco of Lombard, Illinois; two brothers, James Hoffman of Elkhart, David (Mary Ann) Hoffman of Henderson, Nevada; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty's primary job was farming alongside her husband. She was a school bus driver for the White Pigeon school system. In her spare time, she volunteered for many years on the Porter Township Ambulance.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends, fishing, hunting, turkey shooting and playing cards.

The family will receive friends Friday at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Chapel Hill Missionary Church in Union from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the church. Pastor Benjamin Holdeman, her grandson, will preside and burial will follow in Plum Grove Cemetery in Union.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Porter Township Ambulance or Heartland Hospice.
