Goshen, Indiana - Edna Fay Witmer was born on Feb. 9, 1930, to Enos & Goldie (Miller) Wenger in Elkhart County, Indiana.

She passed away at home on Jan. 20, at the age of 95 years, 11 months and 11 days, surrounded by her family.

She was married on Aug. 14, 1949, to Paul Wayne Witmer, son of Walter & Alma (Shaum) Witmer. They enjoyed over 72 years of married life until his passing on January 2, 2022. After that she made her home with one of her sons.

Edna was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church.

She is survived by her five sons, Max and Vicki, New Madison, Ohio, David and Donna, Elroy, Wisconsin, Galen and Joyce, Goshen, Timothy and Beth, Goshen, & Stanley and Kim, South Whitley, Indiana; 19 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Hoover & Mable and Roger Skiles; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and parents-in-law; two sisters, Evelyn Wenger & Verla Jean and Harold Martin; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Isaiah and Beulah Witmer, Anson and Fern Witmer, Catharine and Maynard Zimmerman, and Elvin Hoover. Also, a granddaughter; a stepgrandson; a great-grandson; and a step-great-grandson.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, Indiana 46573.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 26918 Co. Rd. 40, Goshen, Indiana 46526.

Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
