Shipshewana, IN - Edna E. Farmwald, 95, of Shipshewana, (district: 50-3), died at 9:15 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 1, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1930, in LaGrange County, to Eli A. and Anna (Yoder) Bontrager.
On Jan. 15, 1952, in Shipshewana, she married Harvey S. Farmwald. He died on Nov. 18, 2011.
Surviving are five children, Arlene (Atlee) Miller, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, Delbert (Linda) Farmwald, of Shipshewana, Sueann (Paul) Bontrager, of Middlebury, Erma (Vernon) Miller, of Goshen, David (Carolyn) Farmwald, of Shipshewana; 30 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Elizabeth Hochstetler, of Shipshewana; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Bontrager, of Middlebury, Ada Schwartz of Vicksburg, Michigan, and Wilma Lehman, of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son and daughter, Marvin and Ruby Farmwald; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Fannie Miller, Lovina Whetstone, Wilma Miller; four brothers, Homer, Harley, Levi and Alton Bontrager.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and all day, Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the family's residence, 9645 West SR 120, Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Darrell Yoder and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
