Doris E. Shank passed from this life on Feb. 11, 2025 at Waterford Crossing in Goshen.

She was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Goshen, one of three children born to Dewey and Laura Wortinger.

Doris is survived by her three sons, Jerry Lee Shank, of Springfield, Florida, Jeffrey Lynn Shank (Anita), of Goshen, and Michael Carlyle Shank (Ruth) of Milwaukee Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Gerald E. Shank; and her brothers, Russell and Robert M. Wortinger.

Doris attended Goshen College, after which she went on to pursue a career in accounting.

Doris was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Goshen.

She was an avid golfer who enjoyed many rounds at Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen and Lake Fairways Country Club in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Doris loved traveling, playing bridge, gardening, and attending art fairs locally as well as during her travels.

In her "spare" time she volunteered at Goshen Hospital.

During her later years, she was a zealous reader and kept her mind sharp with Sudoku and crossword puzzles.

Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 South Main St. Goshen.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 a.m., officiated by Reverend Harlan Steffen.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, 2818 Violett Rd. Goshen.
